![]() The title and the coverart accurately reflect the unique dual nature of Krayzie Bone as an artist. After getting hints of his new album bubbling up through the underground for the last three months, Ball’r has finally given “Gemini – Good vs. Last time out Krayzie jumped ship from Relativity Records to Loud Records, and since Loud is relatively defunct as a hip-hop label (no pun intended) it’s no surprise that Krayzie has again found a new home, Ball’r Records. Although he’s put out singles and soundtrack cuts and appeared on other records in the interim, he hasn’t had that spotlight all to himself for quite a while. He’s made a name for himself with releases like the double album “Thug Mentality 1999” and 2001’s “ Thug On Da Line,” but it’s been four long years since Krayzie put out a new solo release. ![]() Of course Krayzie Bone is no exception to the solo success of Bone Thugs members, and may be the most successful of them all. As good as they are together, group members like L-Burna (Layzie Bone) and Bizzy Bone have proved they can hang on their own with albums like “ Thug By Nature” and “ Alpha and Omega.” I’m not really sure how many times Bone seemed set to be on their own permanently but came back as a unit “just one more time” and frankly I’ve stopped trying to keep track. And like the Wu-Tang Clan, the Bone Thugs have shown that with solo success, it becomes increasingly harder to reunite all the group’s members for albums together. One could hardly have guessed a over a decade ago when the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony debuted to the hip-hop world on “Thuggish Ruggish Bone” that they would become household names, icons of the music business, and spawn off as many solo and side projects as the Wu-Tang Clan themselves. The song was used by Fox News during the 2015 NBA Finals as the Cleveland Cavaliers theme song.The Bone Thugs phenomenon may change over time, but it never really fades out or dies off. Layzie is currently working on his latest album Perfect Timing, scheduled to be released on Apnow TBD, Layzie releases Cleveland is The City Featuring Aaron "D-Boyy" Dissell. He's the uncle of the independent rapper, Dizzy Wright. By the middle of 2013, Layzie has announced on Twitter that he is taking a step aside from performing and appearing with Bone Thugs-n-Harmony to focus on his solo-career. As of 2011, he and Fredro Starr of the Onyx group are planning to release a collaborative EP entitled FireSquad, which is set to be released late 2011. ![]() In the fall of 2010, Layzie established a new label, Harmony Howse Entertainment. He has had a series of albums with Bizzy Bone Still Creepin on Ah Come Up and under the name Bone Brothers entitled: Bone Brothers, Bone Brothers 2, Bone Brothers 3. of Do or Die, solo albums out such as It's Not A Game, The New Revolution, Cleveland, Startin' from Scratch: How A Thug Was Born, and the upcoming solo album to be announced Ruthless. He also has collaborative albums with Young Noble from The Outlawz and A.K. ![]() He released his first solo album Thug by Nature on Maexactly the same day Bizzy Bone released his second solo album The Gift. Layzie has also promoted the indie label Mo Thugs Records which he and the rest of Bone originated. At this point Eazy named them Thugs-n-Harmony but they wanted to keep the Bone name so they were called Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Diego Blak (born Diego hodge), a marketer and promoter and co-executive producer of Faces Of Death introduced them to Eazy-E at a concert he promoted in Cleveland, Ohio where they auditioned for him in his dressing room and then traveled back to Los Angeles, California after the show to seal the deal.
